Rental Agreement & Liability Waiver

By proceeding with the booking and/or signing this agreement, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and fully accepted the following terms and conditions.

1. General Terms & Conditions

  • The bicycle is delivered to the customer in perfect technical and functional condition.

  • The customer is responsible for inspecting the bicycle and accessories at pickup and confirming their condition before use.

  • The bicycle must be returned in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.

  • Any damage, malfunction, accident, or incident occurring during the rental period must be reported to Catalina Bike Rental immediately.

  • The customer assumes full responsibility for the care, custody, and use of the bicycle throughout the rental period.

  • Catalina Bike Rental is responsible only for normal wear and tear, including components such as chain, gears, brake pads, wheels, and handlebar tape.

  • The customer is strongly advised to hold personal insurance coverage.
    Catalina Bike Rental does not provide third-party liability, accident, or health insurance.

  • Catalina Bike Rental assumes no responsibility for the customer’s safety, physical condition, or health during the rental period.

2. Liability Waiver

The customer acknowledges that cycling is an inherently risky activity, which may involve falls, collisions, injuries, or other hazards, even when using properly maintained equipment.

By accepting this agreement, the customer fully and irrevocably releases Catalina Bike Rental, its owners, employees, and partners from any liability for accidents, injuries, damages, or losses suffered during the rental period.

The customer explicitly confirms that they:

  • Have inspected and accepted the bicycle and accessories in perfect condition.

  • Assume full responsibility for the correct and safe use of the bicycle and all provided equipment.

  • Have been informed of the importance of wearing a helmet and riding responsibly on public roads.

  • Accept full responsibility when participating in guided rides or group activities, including adherence to instructions and road regulations.

3. Responsibility for Damage, Loss, or Theft

  • The customer is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the bicycle or accessories during the rental period.

  • In the event of irreparable damage or theft, the customer agrees to cover 100% of the replacement value of the bicycle and/or accessories.

  • A security deposit hold of €500 will be placed on a valid debit or credit card as a guarantee and released once the bicycle is returned in proper condition and within the agreed timeframe.

4. Usage Rules & Customer Obligations

  • Personal use only: The bicycle must not be lent, transferred, or subrented to any third party.

  • Traffic regulations: The customer must comply with all applicable Spanish traffic laws and regulations.

  • No modifications: Any modification, adjustment, or alteration to the bicycle or accessories is strictly prohibited.

  • Timely return: Bicycles must be returned at the agreed time. Late returns may incur additional charges.

  • No racing or competition: The bicycle may not be used in races, competitions, or any organized sporting events.

5. Data Protection & Consent

The customer authorizes Catalina Bike Rental to process their personal data exclusively for rental management, legal compliance, and related communications, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
